Bill Houskeeper was born in Baker, Oregon and grew up in a coal mining town called Price, Utah. His Father Jack Houskeeper worked as a coal miner and his Mother ran United Way for the south eastern part of the state. Bill was adopted when he was a baby. In 2009 he was contacted by his half sister, which led him to learn of a whole new family that he has enjoyed getting to know. In high school, Bill participated in drama class and plays as well as music classes where he played clarinet, bass clarinet, and drums. He went to The College of Eastern Utah and, after graduation, went to Mesa State College and declared a double major in both acting/directing and technical theater/design. At Mesa he was taught by Equity Actor Peter Ivanov and Broadway Designer (U.S.A.) member David M. Cox. It was David who would give him the advise to help lead him on his acting career. After working on cruise ships doing theater lighting, Bill moved to Los Angeles and started doing lighting and staging for many major shows.
